Ok, so usually my "pick" posts are about a certain type of clothing or style, but now that spring has sprung and I'm into summer, green has been all over and I love it! Usually green isn't my sort of color, but something about the preppy styles and florals of this time of year have gotten me more into it. Here are some of my favorite shades of green this season, as well as some ideas of how I would wear them.

Hunter green-Usually more of a winter color, I've found I really like this color for accent pieces or accessories, so I can incorporate the green without looking out of season.

Kimono cardigans, or kimono jackets, have suddenly become the "it" item of this spring and summer. Expect to see them at music festivals, around a bonfire, or the farmer's market. They have a beachy, bohemian feel and can be incorporated into many styles. Read below for what's best for your closet!



If you're cheap....Kimono jackets haven't exactly been the cheapest things around. Running over $100 at Urban Outfitters and in the $50s in many other stores. Here's some that are cute without going broke.

"Skater skirts" as they've been coined are big flowy mini skirts. A bit oxymoronic, but they can fit a huge range of styles, from edgy to preppy. Here's some of my picks depending on what look you want!

Girly: Tuck in a bright or sparkly shirt and skater skirts in pastels will work wonders. If you want to wear a plain top, try lace or sparkles on the skirt itself.

Edgy: Yes you can wear a skirt that flows and keep a rocker edge. Opt for skirts in dark colors and wear a tank top or ripped tee on top.



Bohemian: Find a patterned skirt in earth tones and wear a flowy top or scarf with it.


Couture: Ok not full on "couture" but to get a runway ready look match your skirt and top. Pair with heels and make sure the top is more tight fitting than flowing.

Fun: Neon neon neon! Bright skirts with plain white tees are super in style. Use bold color and print to stand out, just keep the top to neutral colors so there's no "highlighter look".

Tips - The main idea of a "skater skirt" is it is short and flowing. They're super in style right now so just search for "skater skirt" online and tons of results will pop up! Trendy, young stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe seem to have the most selection, but look online and find whatever suits your style best!

Dainty, pretty and sparkly, "princess rings" are showing up more and more. They can be worn by anyone with practically anything, but seem to be highlighted on pink polished nails with girls with their hair in messy buns wearing oversized cardigans. Here's some types of princess rings for everyone!

If you're cheap-there are plenty of cheap options for princess rings, from the most basic at just a few dollars.



If you think your fingers are fat-first off many women are self conscious about their fingers, so no, you're not weird. But avoid tiny rings that will make your fingers seem any larger. Also try to find rings with long crown points to help elongate your fingers.

If you aren't a girly girl-go dainty and sparkly! Rosegold color will also go well with all the glitz.
